February 25 SE CT Youth Climate Summit, planned and implemented by the Environmental Club at Marine Science Magnet High School. Hosted by the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center. Supported by funding secured by Aundré Bumgardner, the MSMHS, and the Town of Groton. Attended by high schools around the region. The theme of the Conference is Sustainable Living, with Keynote appearances by Megan Granato (Groton Sustainability and Resilience Mgr) and Cierra Patrick (Economic Dev Manager, City of Groton), and speakers and panelist from all across the state and Tribal Nations, including the Alliance Executive Director Dr. Z. Grabowski, speaking on sustainable development.

Meet cadets from the US Coast Guard Academy who are training to look out for them on the high seas. Saturday, March 1. 4-5 pm In person. Alliance Wintering Book Discussion. The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World, by Robin Wall Kimmerer, Author of Braiding Sweetgrass. It's winter. Why not curl up and read? There will be snacks, warm drinks, and good conversation. Location TBA.

Community efforts will lead the Vulnerability Assessment -- How Resilient ARE we? and also work on the comprehensive health plan for our watershed, the WRAP (Watershed Resilience Action Plan). The Living Atlas will begin to take shape, thanks to a new coordinator and three UConn Climate Corps students.
Planners' Convening will address the WRAP from the town and Tribal staff, research, and NGO perspectives.
March 13 we accompany participatory artist Jessica Cerullo to honor land, water, and community at Avery Point.
March 22 we present at the CT Land Conservation Council Annual Conference and also participate in the Maple Moon Market at Mashantucket Pequot Museum
