Feeling the Synergy

Allied organizations are already feeling the synergy of amplifying each other’s work. Megan Granato, Groton’s Sustainability and Resilience Manager, reached out for a letter of support for a Long Island Sound Futures Fund grant that has the potential to open up over two miles of alewife and other fish habitat in Haley’s Brook, as well as assisting with flood control for Old Mystic.

While, CUSH invited us to learn water-testing with them, and we expanded their testing sites. A few days later, Pieter Visscher, professor of marine sciences at UConn Avery Point, proposed engaging his class in expanding testing even further.
